sound

The goal of the audio is to capture and reflect the surrounding environment with a reactive sound generator. Participants will have direct control over certain aspects of the audio via the central sculpture, which will be filled with sensors to relay data to the audio control software (Max/MSP). Additionally, sensors around the installation will interpret and reflect the environment through audio, adding a more subtle level of influence on the music which may or may not be immediately evident to the participants. For example, light sensors will implement different base systems for generating music, depending on night or daytime. The audio will also be affected by the amount of people around the installation at any given time via motion sensors, making the music more erratic or tranquil depending on the behavior of people and their interactions with the installation.
